La ceremonia se realizó el pasado domingo 28 de Febrero, conducida por el comediante Chris Rock, quien no perdió oportunidad para bombardearnos con centenar de bromas sobre los #OscarSoWhite.
A pesar de que Mad Max: Fury Road no ganó como Mejor Película o Dirección, igualmente se fue por todo lo alto llevándose casi todos los premios técnicos, entre ellos edición y mezcla de sonido, maquillaje y peinado, incluso vestuario, para un total de 6 galardones. Spotlight (Mejor Película del Año) y The Big Short fueron premiados como los mejores guiones del 2015, adaptado y original.
Mejor documental se lo llevó el director de Amy. Mientras que Bear Story ganó como mejor cortometraje animado, una producción latinoamericana, además, específicamente de Chile.
La mejor dirección y cinematografía del año fue nuevamente para los mexicanos, Alejandro González Iñárritu y Emmanuel «El Chivo» Lubezki, quienes repiten por vez consecutiva, esta vez por el impactante trabajo visual de The Revenant.
Hablando de The Revenant, por fin lo que todos esperábamos, finalmente vemos a Leonardo DiCaprio subir a la tarima a buscar su primer Oscar, que tiene más que merecido desde hace algunos años. Y la estatuilla a la Mejor Actriz fue para la que también venía arrasando en todas las premimaciones, Brie Larson con su papel en Room. Alicia Vikander y una de las sorpresas de la noche, Mark Rylance por Bridge of Spies, también se fueron con premio en mano como actores de reparto.
Y finalmente, con 89 años, Ennio Morricone gana el Oscar a la Mejor Banda Sonora del año, con sus magníficas composiciones para The Hateful Eight.
